Friday 1st June- Charming Appliqué Cushion/ Wall Hanging- 10:15am-2pm £10.
Using a Charm Pack make this delightful applique which would look lovely as a Cushion or Wall Hanging.
Cost £10 includes full colour pattern
Saturday 2nd June- Proggy Mat- 10:15am-12:45pm £10.
Inspired by the Proggy Mats, that were in most homes throughout the North East.
Learn the technique in the class and go on to make your own unique piece.
A fun technique and a great way to use up all those scraps.
Hessian will be provided.
Proggy Tools are available in store.

We hope you are all well and have enjoyed the lovely weather May has offered so far, I hope I have not put a curse on it!
This week at The Fat Quarters we have had some very busy and productive classes and workshops, and next week is no exception. The Sewing Studio we have is so lovely we can accommodate everyone so if you are in the area and fancy trying the ‘Proggy Mat’ technique or want to explore a Machine Embroidery Class then we have these scheduled this coming week.
We have a Brother Innovis 1800Q X-Demo Sewing Machine available for sale. There is an amazing £400 saving on the machine that comes with a Full 3 Year Brother Warranty, as well as an Extension Table and so many feet to list. If you require any further information please contact us.
We have 4 New Titles from Quiltmania in store. ‘Making Happy Quilts’ is full of Quilt projects which would make great stash busters. We have 2 titles from Reiko Kato, ‘Garden Party’ and ‘The New Adventures of Sue and Billy’ which are jam packed with projects.
We are also pleased to have ‘Quilts for All Seasons’ by Betsy Chutchian as well as the latest Moda Pre-Cuts from her called ‘Evelyn’s Homestead 1880-1900'.

We have some beautiful fabrics that are perfect for freshening up your house, you could also make some cushions or quilts for your outside space to make them comfortable for summer nights. We have bright fabrics such as Moda Canyon, Moda Batik, Moda LOL and we have some nautical theme fabrics such as Lakeside Gatherings by Moda. If you are a cocktail fan we have some fabric 'Its A Chick Thing' with martini glasses and cocktails printed on in beatiful bright pink and green.
Dressmaking
Have you ever fancied making your own clothes? We run dressmkaking classes on the last Saturday of the month with our teacher Wendy. She will help you to choose a pattern that will be suitable for you to make. She will also make the pattern fit you best. The girls have made coats, dresses, trousers, skirts and various tops and they all love the results. Wendy will give you different dressmaking tips along the way that will help you to make more and more garments. For more information you can call us on 01207 565728. The class is only £10! It's a beautiful day here in Blackhall Mill today. Lots of sunshine! I hope you've all got something nice planned for the bank holiday weekend. Anyone catching up on their sewing and quilting projects? I've just changed our window display to a nautical theme, the weather is getting everyone in the summer mood so I thought I would change the shop window to match.
